Position Overview:

The role involves providing essential health care, administering medications, and addressing any health-related needs that arise while accompanying students and staff on their excursions.

Key Responsibilities

Travel with students and staff
Administer medications and provide general nursing care throughout the field trips.
Monitor student health and respond to any medical concerns or emergencies.
Collaborate with classroom staff to ensure student safety and well-being.
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and follow IU13 health protocols.

Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania LPN License (required)
Current CPR Certification
Experience in pediatric or educational settings is preferred, but not required.
Reliable transportation and punctuality for early departures are essential.
Availability to commit to all or most of the listed field trip dates.

Requirements Clearance & Health Requirements (Must be current):

Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 24)
PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
FBI Fingerprints (Act 114)
PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
Mandated Reporter Training (completed within the past 5 years)
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168)
TB Test Results (dated within the past 90 days)
